Telesure Investment Holdings, the sister company of Dial Direct Insurance, recently brought a High Court application to interdict unauthorised tow truck drivers from towing its clients’ vehicles from accident scenes without authorisation and then charging its clients exorbitant fees for having their vehicle’s released.
In some instances, clients are being charged up to R12 000 for the release of their vehicles.
Telesure brought this application before the High Court in the best interests of its valued clients and the broader consumer.
