Sport Day

At Dial Direct we took the adage of “all work and no play” to heart and arranged a sports day for the learners of the Thandulwazi Academy proving that there is more to the academy than just learning, and more to Dial Direct than insurance.

In the run up to the sports day, staff of Dial Direct donated sports equipment to the Academy and on the bright spring day, the field at St Stithians School was invaded by some 150 learners. The learners played a variety of sports, including tennis, netball, soccer, basketball, cricket and volleyball and were joined by Dial Direct staff members

On the field, Dial Direct's Edwin Baabua and Dennis Langa dominated the cricket field, while Nelton Ribeiro and Loyiso Ntukela decided to show off their skills at the basketball court. Kgomotso Molefe who previously attended the Academy, enjoyed a game of volleyball as well as chatted to the learners

At Dial Direct we believe that life is not, and should never be, just academic, it should be lived and enjoyed in a myriad of ways, and sport is a great way to do this. Everybody enjoyed the day and the friendly competition between the teams united learners and adults.
