From 9 foot catamarans to a two man rubber dinghy, we've got the simple smart insurance package that's rather "oarsome" even if we do say so ourselves!
At Dial Direct we took a good look at what boating enthusiasts need from their watercraft insurance package and we have made these needs part of our simple, smart solution – ensuring that whether your boat is on or off the water, it’s covered.
That’s why we even insure your boat if it’s being transported by road, although the boat’s trailer will have to be insured separately, which is as easy as clicking here.
Your boat’s machinery, standard fittings, gears, equipment etc are all covered by this policy, provided of course they are maintained regularly and used correctly. One action we encourage all our watercraft policyholders to do is to immediately flush and restart a submerged motor, if possible.
Because we understand the nature of watercraft insurance, we have also included cover for medical expenses, up to R2 000 per injured person in the boat and our Third Party Liability cover insures you against claims made by others if you have damaged their property or caused an accident that resulted in a death or injury. For this, we’ll pay out a maximum of R250 000 per incident.
Optional waterskiers’ insurance
Waterskiing presents its own dangers, which is why when you add this option both you (or the navigator of your insured boat) and the waterskiers are covered. You’re insured for accidental injuries sustained by the waterskier or damage to their property, and in turn the waterskier is covered for any damage he or she could cause to another person while being towed by your boat.
